Chance Tanz - A dance theatre project with young people

De-Da Productions have taken care of the video and photo documentation of this project which is a collaboration between the Staatstheater Mainz, Mainz Bretzenheim School, Institute of Sport Science, and Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz.

At the Mainz State Theatre, the participating youths can experience the diversity of dance as well as the artistic and technical processes by guides and discussions behind the scenes. The young people will finally present their own production entitled "Sechs Helden Sind Hier" (Six Heroes 
are Here) on the 3rd of July at the Staatstheater Mainz.
'Chance Tanz' promotes local project activities in which children, under the professional guidance of dance artists and educators can actively participate in a creative dance-based process. The results of their projects will be presented in both a large and smaller scale. For a first encounter with dance, the young participants are able to experience cultural participation and personal and social recognition as a performer. In addition to actively participating in the creation of this dance performance, offers are extended for the young performers to attend professional dance companies to observe and to meet with professional dance artists. 
Thanks to the generosity of volunteers and donors, the respective activities of this project can be supported, including the use of professional dance artists and educators.
