What have you recently learned through dancing?
What is motivating you to dance at the moment?
How do you experience being a dancer in 2022?
The project TimeCapsule2022 captures short video-portraits of active dancers from all over the world.
They answer a collection of questions that have been developed by dancers - for dancers.
The interviewees share their challenges, experiences of the present and motivations to dance - a snapshot of what it means to be a dancer in the year 2022,
encouraging and inspiring discourse around the self-understandings of dancers.
In the future, how will we look back on this snapshot from the past?

In collaboration with De-Da Productions, two recording options were developed - dancers were either recorded in person by the film crew or asked to follow instructions for self-recording. The video-portraits will be displayed as a visual installation which is a part of the module Dancers as Experts at Tanzkongress 2022.
The curation of this module was driven by a deep interest in the current self-understandings of dancers and the TimeCapsule2022 will encourage and inspire discourse around that. You are invited to explore this installation through this lens and get inspired by the interviewed individuals.
