The photo collection entitled Stars in the Night will be a collection of portraits taken of artists
involved in the musical and performance arts who are making a large impact in their field
today. Such artists include singers, dancers, composers, conductors, choreographers,
and actors. All portraits in the collection will be photographed outside at night (after sunset)
as a reflection of the time in which performers and creators of the theater leave work after a show.
By photographing artists of influence over a 10 year span between August 2014 and August 2024, Stars in the Night will act simultaneously as both a type of photo journalism and artistic portrait photography.
The concept of Stars in the Night was inspired by Brassa ï’s (Gyula Halász) book Paris de Nuit, published in 1933. The final product will be proposed to galleries and museums as an exhibition.
The individual portraits will not be sold.
